In our modern separation facilities at our production site in Wilnsdorf, we are able to process residues from both our own production and from our customers’ foundries for further metallurgical recovery. In this process, we either purchase the foundry dross from our customers or offer reprocessing into brass block material.

By returning the recovered metals to the production cycle for further processing (recycling), we achieve the highest possible yield of the input material for our customers. We use over 90% secondary raw materials for brass block production. Through this, we make an active contribution to the circular economy and to securing valuable raw materials for future generations.

The use of secondary raw materials reduces energy and CO2 compared to the use of primary raw materials. Brass—like other metals—can be recycled indefinitely. In light of expensive energy, the commitment to permanently reduce the CO2 footprint, and increasingly scarce raw materials, the importance of recycling is growing. The energy input for our type of production using secondary raw materials is significantly lower than that of primary production from ores. The CO2 footprint is significantly reduced when using secondary raw materials.
